The Hong Kong Productivity Council (HKPC) and the Hong Kong Computer Emergency Response Team Coordination Centre (HKCERT) successfully organised the fourth edition of the "Hong Kong Cyber Security New Generation Capture the Flag Challenge" (CTF Challenge). The competition aims to educate the new generation about cybersecurity, inspire youth interest in the industry, and contribute to the cultivation of much-needed global cybersecurity talent.

This year's CTF Challenge, one of the world's most popular cybersecurity games, featured, for the first time, an overseas category, attracting over 1,100 local high school and university students, IT professionals, and participants from overseas, forming more than 500 teams. The competition included local teams, teams from Italy, and top-ranking overseas teams. Winners were recognized in categories such as high school, tertiary education, open, and overseas.

The award ceremony was held at HKPC on December 19, 2023, with special guests from the Office of the Government Chief Information Officer and the IT in Education Section of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government.
